Artist Statement

I paint intuitively, encouraging each brush stroke to guide and inform the next, allowing for my own unique creative process. The interplay of light on color value, however bold or subtle, is intriguing to me. Developing an emotional response is pivotal in creating and experiencing art and I strive to connect to the soul of the subjects in my paintings. Every time the character and personality of a painting comes to life is delightful.
